About

Namaste (नमस्ते)

I'm Jidrew — husband, technologist, and traveler still finding my footing with every new place. Travel has taken me far from my Midwest beginnings, across continents and cultures, and though I'll never claim to be an expert, I carry wonder and curiosity everywhere I go. Recently, South Asia has become a second home — not just through the landscapes and temples, but through my wife, who helps me feel welcome in places I once found unfamiliar.

Technology has been my constant thread for most of my life. From side projects born out of curiosity to guiding large systems at scale, I've always been drawn to puzzles that live at the intersection of people and code. What began as a craft has grown into a way of thinking: how to build, how to lead, and how to carry others along the way.

As for what's ahead — I'm growing into a better partner, a deeper technologist, and someone who chooses presence over hurry. For me, this isn't a destination, it's a journey.

This site

Built with Astro and Tailwind CSS. No tracking, no analytics, no newsletter popup demanding your attention.

Although, if you'd like to subscribe to the newsletter, I won't mind.

The design draws inspiration from Indian aesthetics with the warm marigold and terracotta accents, balanced with a calm teal. Using generous whitespace and clean typography, I want to feel clean and organized in an otherwise chaotic world. This site is my quiet corner of the web, my own kind of temple, where I return to reflect and navigate this life.

Let's keep in touch

I don't post everything here, but you can find me in a few other corners of the web:

  • Twitter and Threads — for short notes and ideas I'm thinking about
  • Instagram — for travel photos and small glimpses into my life as your second favorite Jiju

Or subscribe to the newsletter for occasional updates on what I'm working on and thinking about.
